On the theatre front...
SEPTEMBER SOMTHING, 2002

I know, it's been a while again, but hey...There are some new pictures up on photo page 2 from my trip to Los Angeles. They were taken a a party in Venice featuring one of my favorite performers...Betsy Ullery. I was also re-united with Melissa Stumpf, Shannon Ward, and Scott Doherty...as well as meeting guitar legend Reeves Gabrels at his concert at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood. What a trip it was. Theoretically, or however you spell it, Betsy and Scott will have new albums coming out at somepoint before the years end. Both of their websites are posted in the "Links" section of this site.

Zombie Prom has come and gone...hey, that sounds like a song. "ZP" closed two weeks ago and ended up selling out every night with the exception of three performances. Not bad. I told them..."If I'm in this show, it will sell out". They didn't believe the power that was Dan. Idiots. I SHOWED THEM!!! On a slightly more serious note, the shows success was mostly due to our "Kids"...or the chorus of six. They were incredible, quite possibly the most tallented group I've performed with in a long time. Thanks to all who came and saw it. See you in December!

HEDWIG IS A GO!!!
CPT made it official today folks...Hedwig and the Angry Inch will sweep back into the Gordon Square Theatre from Dec. 5th 2002 to Jan. 5th 2003. Sadly, Lester Shane, the director from this past production will not be able to get away from his job in NY to be a part of it this year...Randy will be taking his place to oversee the production. Also, Ali Hernan will be understudying me...just in case I go down. (what are the odds?).

MAY 18, 2002

Well folks, Discordia has come and gone...and now I'm in full swing for Zombie Prom, which opens two weeks from last night. Oy Vey! Besides "ZP" - as Gus likes to call it, it appears that Hedwig - The revival is coming together nicely...although it still isn't 100 percent for sure yet, it IS moving in that direction. Oh yeah, we are also the grand marshalls of this years Gay Pride Fest. How do you like that? A bunch of straight people leadings the gay parade. Only in LA...and cleveland. :) One more update : Believe it or not, CPT is giving me a chance to spread my wings and actually direct a show. "What show, Dan", you may ask yourself. Well, friend, I'll tell you. Cannibal the Musical is what we are talking about right now...currently we are still in the primary stages of it all but it's looking pretty good. More info on that as the story developes.

MARCH 15,2002

The dates for the "Discordia" workshop at Cleveland Public Theatre are May 10,11,12,17, and 18th. For more information about Cleveland Public Theatre and it's season, visit CPT Online

MARCH 11, 2002

I've just been cast in Beck Center's Production of "Zombie Prom" which runs this summer. I'm playing Jonny (He spells it without the "H" - what a rebel) who is a teenager in love...so much in love that when he finds out that his girlfriends parents wont let her see him anymore, he hurls himself into a nuclear reactor, killing him...almost. He returns, as a teenage nuclear zombie, to his school for an education and a prom date. Two words for you...Oy Vey!

ZOMBIE PROM runs from May 31st to June 30th, and tickets can be purchased at the door, or by reserving seats ahead of time by calling the Beck Center Box Office at 216-521-2540. For more information about Beck Center, visit their homepage.

MARCH 7, 2002

I'll be doing a workshop at Cleveland Public Theatre for the newly written musical "Discordia". There will be more information (dates and whatnot) as that story develops.

SEPTEMBER SOMTHING ELSE, 2002

The Cleveland Cast of Hedwig and the Angry Inch are now recording the Cleveland Cast Album, which will be the only Hedwig album released other than the original NY cast and the Film version. We intend to blow both those albums out of the water. :) It will be available for purchase around December. More on that as it developes.

JULY 8, 2002

Yeah, yeah, I know...it's been forever since I've updated. Well, here's what's new...The Centrum gig was a blast and went over a treat with everyone...accept the people in the first four rows with expensive cameras. Yes, I destroyed some property that night when my beer exploded "accadentally" on the crowd...but you know what? I don't want to hear it. I warned the crowd...plus, they should have just expected it. I mean...come on! It's me. Of course I'm going to get you wet! Deal with it. On another note, "Clevelands Celebrity" now has a page up on Mp3.com. There is a link on the "Links" page (oddly enough). Enjoy!

MAY 18, 2002

The STD's will be appearing as The Angry Inch at the Centrum on Saturday June 29th. The Centrum is located on Coventry Road in Coventry. Evidentally, they are going to start running midnight showings of Hedwig the Movie there, and naturally, they wanted the band to play at the big kickoff event...as we all helped bring the show's popularity to Cleveland. Oh yeah, that's right...it was all because of us. Showtime is still TBA at this point, but we should have somthing solid here soon.

MARCH 19, 2002

I've added some more mp3's to the mp3 page. The two new ones up are "Anastasia" and "Get on the Train". I haven't come up with lyrics for get on the train yet, but I really like the music for it so I thought I would post it. Enjoy!

MARCH 7, 2002

The band from CPT's production of Hedwig has decided to stay together under the new name, "The STD's". Catchy huh? That was a pun. Currently, we are putting together our material and getting ready to take the world by storm...but fear not...we're coming soon!!! Everyone's very excited to start playing out again. As a matter of fact, Dennis and I think we just recorded our first hit. It is entitled "Trashy Little Slut". You're going to love it...and if you don't...bring it.
